Burnie

On average you’ll pay 10% less compared to other sites for booking Burnie Accommodation on Wild Escapes.
Burnie is bustling port city on Tasmania’s northern coast. It’s the fourth largest city on the island with a population of about 28,000. The downtown area has a vibrant mix of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants serving coffee, seafood, handicrafts and local produce. The city has an industrial past which can be explored in the Burnie Regional Museum. The buildings have a distinct art deco style and the city centre is a fascinating place to explore on foot. Don’t miss Burnie Park which is considered to be one of the prettiest in Tasmania, and the park’s animal reserve is perfect for entertaining children. About 19km south of the city is Guide Falls, a picturesque tiered cascade waterfall.
There’s no shortage of places to stay, with luxury accommodation available close to all of the attractions. The city also has exciting dining opportunities, including Thai, Indian and Middle Eastern restaurants alongside Australian favourites.
