After a wonderful relaxing day, return to indulge in a sumptuous gourmet dinner prepared by the restaurant chefs, featuring fresh local produce and quality Tasmanian wines.

The Gordon Room
Named for the West Coast’s magnificent Gordon River. The Gordon room is a large bright room on the first floor. The Gordon room has a double and a single bed, so is ideal for a twin or three person’s. This room has it’s own private bath room. This is not in the room, but for the Gordon room use only.
The expansive verandah of Tynwald Mansion is accessed from the bedroom, giving you wide views of open countryside adjoining the picturesque River Derwent. Tables and chairs are provided.
The Macquarie Room
Named for Governor Lachlan Macquarie this room is located on our ground floor and also features easy access without stairs.
This room is located on the ground floor. A genuine Victorian Half Tester queen size bed is the main feature.
The room is decorated in a Victorian theme, with fresh cut flowers and complimentary chocolates. It has an en suite, with an easy walk in shower.
The Lachlan Room
The Lachlan Room is named after the small stream that flows into the Derwent, on the corner of the property.
Situated on the ground floor, the room is light and bright, over looking the water fall in the garden, with fresh cut flowers and complimentary chocolates. The Lachlan has a queen size bed and easy walk in shower in the en suite.
The Derwent Spa suite
Named after the River Derwent, which flows from Lake St Clair to Hobart right past the Estate.
The Derwent room is located on the first floor, and offers the luxury of a very large spa, in the en-suite. The room is furnished with antiques, including a genuine Victorian Half Tester queen size bed, CD player & flat screen digital T.V. complimentary port, chocolates, and fresh flowers. Access to the verandah is from the room, which has tables and chairs, over looking the water fall.
The Meander Room
The Meander Room is on the first floor and has a double and a single bed, so is ideal for a double, twin or three people.
This room and the Boyer Room have the one full bathroom, with a shower over a bath, for the two rooms. When combined with The Boyer Room, it is ideal for a family or 2 couples traveling together. Access to the wide verandah is from your room. Tables and chairs are provided for you to sit, relax and admire the view.
The Boyer Room
The Boyer Room is a large room on the first floor and has a double and a single bed, so is ideal for a double, twin or three people. Access to the wide verandah is through a stained glass paneled door. Tables and chairs are provided for you to sit, relax and admire the views of the Derwent Valley.
When combined with the Meander Room, it is ideal for a family or 2 couples traveling together. This Meander Room and the Boyer room, have one full bathroom, with a shower over the bath, for the two rooms, which is just down the hall way.
The Waterfall Spa Suite
Our ground floor spa suite offers its own private entrance, on the ground floor, overlooking our garden waterfall.
With a spacious bathroom, it has a large corner spa. The room has a queen size bed, complimentary port, chocolates, and fresh flowers.
Parking is right out the door.
This character stone cottage was originally built in September 1822, as a grain store, for the adjacent flour mill.
Now converted into a self contained cottage, with two levels. The bedroom, upstairs, has double and single bed & sleeps up to three people. The ground floor has a full kitchen and a cozy lounge with a slow combustion wood fire, CD player & flat screen T.V, complimentary port, chocolates, and fresh flowers.
The bathroom is also on the ground floor with an easy walk in shower, & washing machine. Perfect for those who want to get away from it all, the Granary is totally self-contained. Outdoor table & chairs are provided. From here you can observe the native Tasmanian wildlife & the river beyond.
The Granary has private parking, just outside the door.
Ideal for a romantic getaway
The tariff for the cottage is room only, with a minimum stay of two nights.
This 1940’s cottage has every thing you need.
It is situated in a quite crescent, overlooking the Mt. Field Ranges. Opposite is the 120 year old St. Peters Church, and a little further is the historic Bush Inn, the oldest continually licensed hotel in Australia.
The Cottage consists of quality furnishings with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with a spa and accommodates up to five people. The main bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has 2 double beds. There is also large day bed.
There is a full kitchen. The dining area has a slow combustion wood fire and heat pump. The lounge has a heat pump/aircondioner and gas fire. The laundry has a front loader washing machine, with easy access to the clothes line.
A covered deck at the rear of the cottage, overlooking the garden, has a table, chairs a gas BBQ and an additional toilet.
2 televisions, board games and dvd player to entertain you.

A short stroll will take you to the High Street of New Norfolk, with all shops & services.
40 minutes drive to Mt Field National Park and Russel Falls and only 15 minutes to Mona. Hobart is just 30 minutes away.
New Norfolk is a great spot to explore the Derwent Valley and southern Tasmania.
