Set on four acres at beautiful White Beach on the Tasman Peninsula, the award winning Storm Bay Guest House is one of Tasmania’s most popular accommodation facilities.
The property, which is bordered by the Tasman National Park, sits high on Hardy’s Hill over-looking Storm Bay and Bruny Island to the west and Parson’s Bay, Nubeena and the surrounding hillsides to the north.
The Storm Bay complex comprises the Guest House (B&B) and Cragganmore Cottage which is situated some further 80 meters down the hill. Beautiful White Beach is only a few minutes’ walk from the property.
We are only ten minutes from the Port Arthur Historic Site and Tasman Island Cruises both of which recently won Australia’s best tourist attraction and eco-tourism awards respectively. Similarly, the start of the newly developed Three Capes Track that follows along the highest sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere and the fabulous Cape Raoul/Shipstern Bluff track are also located just 10 minutes from the property. Hobart International Airport is approximately 75 minutes away.

From the moment you arrive to the time you leave you will be most welcome at Storm Bay. Whether it is relaxing on the large deck, enjoying the incredible views and sunsets, the afternoon kangaroo and bird feedings or just relaxing in the lounge in front of the cosy fireplace, you will be at home.
We will also ensure that you are made aware of all of the Tasman’s hidden treasures and if required, assist you to plan your activities to get the most benefit of your stay. Our special map will guide you along the way. There are lots of “Things to Do” on the Tasman Peninsula so make sure that you allow plenty of time during your stay to enjoy its wonders.

The Guest House (B&B)
Storm Bay Guest House comprises four bedrooms, three of which are queen bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and one double bedroom with a private bathroom immediately across the hallway. Two of the queen rooms have private balconies with bay views.
There is also a guest’s lounge complete with fireplace and a large 80 square metre deck which provides breath-taking views over Storm Bay and Bruny Island to the west and Parson’s Bay and the surrounding hillsides to the north. The views from the large deck of the Guest House stretch as far as the eye can see to the Hartz Mountains and the distant south west wilderness area and are often described as the most breath-taking views in Southern Tasmania.
The large deck also provides an opportunity for you to view afternoon feeding of our friendly kangaroos, wallabies and other wildlife which have called Storm Bay home. Later, weather permitting, you can also experience some spectacular sunsets over Storm Bay. It is then time to relax with a glass of wine, or complimentary port and chocolates in the lounge. We also stock a small selection of reasonably priced wine and beer on the premises.
A sumptuous continental and hot breakfast is served with a wide range of homemade breads and jams, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, yoghurt and freshly ground coffee as well as a variety of teas.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at all areas of the Guest House and car parking is free.
All rooms in the Guest House sleep a maximum of two people per room.
Children over 13 are welcome in the bed and breakfast.
Storm Bay Guest House is a non-smoking facility. However, smoking is permissible in the carpark.
This room has a queen bed with a private bathroom (not shared) across the hall. Room amenities include large flat screen TV, heating and electric blankets. Tea and coffee making facilities and a guest refrigerator is available in the common area.
The Acacia room has views that need to be seen to be believed, looking out over Parson's Bay and Wedge Bay to the Hartz Mountains. The room has a sumptuous king bed and is en-suited. Room amenities include coffee and tea making facilities, small fridge, large flat screen TV, heating and electric blankets. A private balcony leads out into the garden.
With its own entrance, deck and outdoor seating, the Blue Room provides guests with beautiful views over Parson’s Bay, the garden pond, Nubeena and the surrounding hills. This queen en-suited room contains large flat screen TV, heating and electric blankets. Tea and coffee making facilities and a guest refrigerator are available in the common areas.
Bay View Room
The Bay View Room is blessed with amazing views over Parson's Bay. This room has a king bed with en-suite and spa. It has its own private deck and outdoor seating and contains large flat screen TV, heating and electric blankets. Tea and coffee making facilities and a guest refrigerator are available in the common area.
Cragganmore Cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is situated some 80 meters down the hill from the Guest House. It is a private self-contained two-bedroom cottage with a large deck that offers northern views of Parson’s Bay, Nubeena Township and the surrounding hillsides. Views of Storm Bay and Bruny Island are not available from the Cottage.
The cottage has a queen and two single beds. It is an open plan layout and equipped with all the necessary cooking facilities and cutlery to accommodate longer stays. The cottage also has a wood fire in the lounge and BBQ on the deck.
Wi-Fi is not attainable at Cragganmore Cottage and it is a non-smoking facility.
Children of all ages are welcome in the cottage and a baby’s cot is also available.
