Spread over two levels it is light-filled and fresh, comfortably sleeping, 8 guests. The downstairs back door leads out to a lush lawn and then the sparkling waters of the Pacific Ocean. A perfect year-round getaway offering a cool breeze and the beach in summer and a warm fire and spectacular vista in the winter. THE LOCATION

Coledale still holds that age-old charm of a seaside village. With only a scattering of shops and not yet invaded by a throng of cafes it offers a chance to truly get away and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Like the pleasures of a day spent exploring the rock pools with its scuttling crabs, mini-aquariums and the feel of moss and the sea underfoot.

A long leisurely and delicious lunch can be had at Mr and Mrs Smitha cafe known for fresh ingredients prepared well while the Cellar next door stocks an impressive range of wines to match. Retail therapy can be claimed at Earth Walker an eclectic homewares and fashion boutique or spoil yourself in the new Earthwalker cafe and gourmet grocer. Pick up fish and chips or get a beauty treatment at The Salon. The pace of Coledale is slow and a holiday here will ensure that you match its relaxed vibe.

If you need a little excitement Thirroul with its hipster coffee shops and posh boutiques is a mere 5-minute drive, while even bigger city delights will greet you in Wollongong. It is also a perfect base for day trips to the Sea Cliff Bridge, Sublime Point and the Royal National Park to the north. Head south for astop at Mt Kiera to the take in the views, or to the Minnamurra rainforest or the Nan Tien Temple. BEDROOM CONFIGURATION

Master bedroom features a sumptuous queen bed, wardrobe, private ensuite and sea views
Bedroom 2 Features a queen bed and is on the upper level (this has been recently upgraded in response to guest feedback)

Bedroom 3 Features two bunk beds and is on the lower level

BATHROOMS

Each room has a pairing bathroom. The upper double room has a bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity next door. The master bedroom has an ensuite with toilet, vanity and shower. The bunk room has a bathroom opposite which features a toilet, vanity and shower.

LIVING

Light filled and with high ceilings, the upstairs living area is an open plan space that encompasses the lounge, dining and kitchen and
opens onto a deck that drinks in the sea views. The lounge features a TV, DVD player and a gas fireplace. The dining table comfortably seats 8. At the back is a comfortable snug spot that is perfect for reading in the sun or snoozing without being disturbed.

KITCHEN

The gourmet kitchen features a ceramic stove top, oven, dishwasher, microwave, full fridge and freezer and a Dolce Gusto pod coffee machine. It is equipped for a good range of cooking and there is a BBQ on the downstairs deck.

OUTDOORS

The front of the house offers a private pebbled courtyard with firepit perfect for a cool night and offering the chance to take in the stars. At the back is a small sun-soaked deck that leads onto the lawn and then onto the ocean -this home is truly waterfront. Featuring a gas BBQ you can plan a feast on the lawn as you watch the waves.

THINGS TO KNOW

The backyard of this home is not fenced, the neighbours along Coledale Avenue maintain an open garden design so that the sea can be viewed at its best. However, guests are asked to stay within the grounds of the property and use only the amenities of the house. The back garden also leads directly into the ocean and so this property is not suitable for young children as they can easily get out of the back door and to the water.
