Petit St. Vincent (colloquially known as PSV) is a 115-acre privately-owned resort island located in the southern Caribbean’s Grenadine island chain. The island has just 22 one- and two-bedroom cottages dotted along the beaches and bluffs of the island, perfectly positioned for the utmost in privacy and seclusion. Originally developed in the late 1960’s, the island’s cottages were renovated in 2011-12 and a new treetop spa and beach restaurant were added, however the “unplugged” classic Caribbean vibe that has been attracting repeat guests for decades was left intact. There are no televisions, telephones or internet connections in the cottages, and guests still use the original flagpole communication system for requests: raise the yellow flag outside of your cottage for room service requests, raise the red flag for “do not disturb.” With a staff-to-guest ratio of two-to-one, PSV’s attention to detail and tailored service is unparalleled.
Originally designed in cooperation with Swedish architect Arne Hasselqvist, who built many of the original homes on the nearby island of Mustique, all 22 of the island’s cottages were constructed in the traditional West Indian style. Walls are built of native bluebitch stone with traditional arched doorways and peaked roofs, sliding glass doors open onto wide decks and terraces offering unparalleled views.
The island refurbishment in 2011 refreshed the cottages’ soft goods, but the structures remain true to their original form. Miami-based design firm D’Amico Design Associates transformed the interiors by adding a new color scheme of blues and island-inspired textures, local artwork and teak accents. The overall effect brightened the cottages while keeping the traditional understated luxury vibe intact.
Located in the southern tip of the Grenadines, our exclusive island retreat is more than just a luxury holiday—it’s an escape.
Create lifetime memories with a loved one, friends, or family on our lush 115-acre tropical island. With just 22 spacious one bedroom cottages and two bedroom beach villas, you can enjoy the privacy you desire with gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea.
Our accommodations are free from telephones, wifi and television. Instead, our signature flag system is a simple but effective way to communicate with our attentive staff. The yellow flag signals for room service, transportation, or a special request and the red flag for privacy.
With two restaurants, one hillside and one beachside, our gourmet chefs offer a variety of creative cuisine inspired by locally-caught seafood and our organic island-grown fruit and vegetables. During sunset, weekly beach barbecues with great local music make for a romantic dinner under the starlit skies.
Unwind with our low-key on-island activities: two yoga pavilions, a Balinese-run luxury spa and wellness center, and an array of land and water sports. Boat charters are available for day excursions to the nearby Tobago Cays marine reserve.
Let our island be that magical destination for a Caribbean honeymoon or a once-in-a-lifetime event. For large groups rent the entire island for the ultimate getaway.
