Hundred Acre Hideaway Details

Overview

Two self catering hideaways, powered by solar, wind and gas, offer pure relaxation on 100 acres of rainforest, bush and meadows, overlooking magnificent Cloudy Bay. Situated on pristine South Bruny Island, the location is private and serene. Relax and unwind in these beautifully appointed hideaways, with panoramic views from your rooms. Sit on the deck and enjoy the abundant endemic wildlife and scenery, after a day of exploring, wine and produce tasting, fishing, surfing, bush-walking, bike-riding, cruising or simply relaxing.
Two immaculate, well appointed hideaways nestle on Mount Mangana, each featuring a private hot tub filled with fresh mountain spring water, steaming and ready for your arrival. Longtime locals Phil and Jen live onsite, nurturing the pristine property and welcoming guests from all over the world. The property is powered by solar, wind and gas offering a complete “off the grid” experience in a unique part of Bruny Island accessible exclusively by guests. Indulge for hours in the hot tub on your deck and watch the everchanging conditions of the huge sky. The property is South facing and perfectly situated for the famous Southern Aurora light displays. Immerse yourself in nature by following one of the five pretty bush trails which highlight bluegum forest, manfern glades, pepperberry and blackwood valleys. Play a round of Bush Golf on the 4 hole golf course. Hunt and gather delicious artisan produce such as oysters, cheese, smoked salmon, whisky, wine and cider during the day. At dusk, watch the wallabies, potaroos, padymelons and possums emerge gently to graze. The unique experience of a steaming hot tub in the remote island wilderness and the comforts of luxuriously appointed retreats are here at Hundred Acre Hideaway. Mountains, Valleys. Ocean. Sky. Stars. Life…
